3 Lanzarote sunsets that will steal your heart

3 Lanzarote sunsets that will steal your heart

If there’s one thing Lanzarote has, besides its volcanoes and beaches, it’s those sunsets you never get tired of watching. And we say this from experience: at Líneas Romero we’ve spent our whole lives sailing here, and every evening still surprises us.

Today we want to share with you three places where watching the sun set is almost a must if you visit the island, and also tell you how to experience them in a different and special way.

  1. 1. I Love Sunset: a sunset from Puerto del Carmen

Getting on our catamaran in Puerto del Carmen is already a great plan, but when the sun starts to set behind the volcanoes… it’s next level.

During the trip, you’ll have some snacks, a drink to toast, and if you’re lucky, even dolphins joining you. We can’t think of a better way to end the day than sailing with good company and a sky that changes color every minute.

  1. 2. Mirador del Río: a sunset among volcanoes and seas

The north of Lanzarote hides corners that seem from another planet. The Encantos del Norte excursion first takes you to LagOmar, the magical labyrinth-house of Omar Sharif, carved into a volcano and full of secrets.

Then, the plan continues towards La Graciosa, the neighboring island where time moves slower. Lunch on board, stroll through sandy streets, feel the freedom of its virgin beaches… And as the grand finale, when the light starts to turn golden, climb up to the Mirador del Río.

Watching the sun set from this work by César Manrique, with La Graciosa at your feet, is one of those gifts Lanzarote offers only to those who know how to look.

  1. 3. I Love Papagayo: a sunset among golden beaches

Can you imagine ending the day anchored in front of the paradisiacal Papagayo beaches? With the I Love Papagayo excursion, you’ll board in Puerto del Carmen heading to some of the best beaches in the south of Lanzarote.

Mojito in hand, a tortilla skewer to whet your appetite and then, while the sun dyes the coast amber, a freshly made paella, open bar and the chance to jump into the sea, swim or paddle in a kayak.

A perfect plan for those who can’t imagine a good sunset without the sea, good food and laughter among friends.
