Experience the XXIX El Río Swim Crossing 2025 with Líneas Romero

September 27, 2025 is not just any Saturday. It’s the Saturday when the stretch of sea between Lanzarote and La Graciosa fills with energy, challenge, and excitement. It’s the day when hundreds of swimmers dare to cross the 2.6 kilometers that separate Lanzarote from La Graciosa in one of the most iconic events on the Canary Islands’ sports calendar: the El Río Swim Crossing.

🚢Special Schedules: Órzola - La Graciosa

At Líneas Romero we are proud to participate in and support this sporting event. Once again, we’re doing everything we can so that both athletes and spectators can enjoy the experience comfortably and safely.

How do we help?

  • Transporting participants: As event partners, we take care of transporting athletes to the starting area.
  • Making access to the event easier: We bring spectators aboard our fleet so they don’t miss a moment of the show.
  • And, of course, with special schedules: We’ve added extra departures so you can choose the option that best fits your plans. Check out the new available schedules:

A crossing with soul and a lot of history

Since 1993, when a group of 50 brave swimmers set out to cross “El Río,” this event has become a symbol of love for the sea and sporting spirit. Today, in its 29th edition, it’s still as thrilling as the very first day.

For the people of La Graciosa, it’s also an important event—we are proud to be hosts on this special day.

At 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, swimmers will depart from Bajo El Risco beach (Lanzarote) heading to Caleta de Sebo (La Graciosa), crossing the majestic Chinijo Archipelago Marine Reserve, the largest in Spain. A true natural privilege that makes this event much more than just a race.

An experience for all five senses

The El Río Swim Crossing isn’t just for those who swim. It’s a spectacle that can also be enjoyed from land, with the island of La Graciosa transformed into a vibrant stage, full of applause, excitement, and unforgettable moments.

If you’re looking for a different plan for September, this is the perfect time to combine nature, sport, and relaxation in a unique setting.

Are you coming?

At Líneas Romero, we invite you to be part of this unique day. Whether you want to cheer on the participants, enjoy the atmosphere, or simply experience La Graciosa like never before, we’re here to make your trip easy, comfortable, and on time.

📱 Buy your ticket and accommodation today and get ready for a day you’ll remember forever.
